AISLive is a global information company and our primary
role is to provide real time information to our customers in over 100
countries.
From launch in April 2004, our site has attracted over 125,000
registered users from across the maritime industry and we now attract 200,000
visitors a month to the website.
Our core strengths lie in collection, collation and
dissemination of very large quantities of data in real time.
On a typical day:-

. 10 Million messages a day are handled by our servers
. we can offer you a live picture of vessel traffic in over 2000 places in 100
countries
As of February 2008, AISLive became a
wholly owned subsidiary of Lloyd's Register - Fairplay.
As of February 2008, Lloyd's Register Fairplay became a joint
venture company owned by Lloyd's Register
and IHS Inc.
As a tightly integrated part of
Lloyd's Register - Fairplay, AISLive data may be directly linked
to LRF data sets. These include the 160,000 vessels in the vessel database,
9,600+ ports and terminals and over 130,000 maritime companies.
In addition, Lloyd's Register - Fairplay issue
the IMO number on behalf of the IMO so our vessel database is the industry
benchmark and as such, is second to none.

An early volume of Lloyd's Register of Ships which has been published since
1764 and continues to be published by Lloyd's Register-Fairplay today.

INNOVATION AWARDS
Finalist - 2007 Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport - Annual Awards for Excellence - Innovation sponsored

We were finalists for this award because we launched a completely new version
of our application in May 2007 which enables our users much easier access to
view real time vessel positions with 16 zoom levels on real charts. The awards
were held in London in October 2007.
Winner - 2006 Defence Technology Exchange - Data & IT Innovation Transfer Award www.deftec.co.uk.
We won this UK Government award for taking our AIS data and feeding it to a
naval system in real time. This gave our naval customer the ability to see live
position of 25,000 commercial vessels per day for use in their MDA (Maritime
Domain Awarenes) activities.
